Aftercare Instructions
TWO TIDES TATTOO AFTERCARE
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
FOR SECOND SKIN BANDAGES ONLY:
Please leave the bandage on for 3 days. This bandage can be left on for up to 7 days according to the manufacturer, however we have had the best results with 3 days for healing tattoos, so we recommend 3 days. It is designed to work with the body's natural healing fluids so there will be fluid build-up under the bandage. Do not be alarmed, this is normal. We recommend to remove the bandage while in the shower as they come off much better this way. When the bandage is removed gently, wash the tattoo with warm water and clean hands while in the shower, without soap or a cloth.
When you get out of the shower pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel and let it air dry. In a few days the tattoo may start to get itchy, this is the time to apply a small amount of aftercare lotion. You want to apply only enough to make it shine. Your tattoo must be able to breathe, so do not over apply this lotion. Once or twice a day is plenty. We sell an all natural aftercare product that has been time tested by us and we know this will lend to the proper healing of your new tattoo.
You may continue to use the aftercare product beyond the healing time of your tattoo to help the skin stay moisturized.
FOR REGULAR BANDAGES:
Remove bandage in 1 hour . Wash the tattoo area with warm soapy water and clean hands to remove any plasma. (unscented soap is best). Pat dry with a paper towel. DO NOT re-bandage your tattoo.
After a few days you may start to apply a very small amount of aftercare lotion, just enough to make the tattoo shine. We sell an all natural aftercare product that has been time tested by us and we know this will lend to the proper healing of your new tattoo.
You may continue to use the aftercare product beyond the healing time of your tattoo to help the skin stay moisturized.
FOLLOW the WHAT NOT TO DO information below:
DO NOT- listen to your friends who think they have the perfect healing tips for your new tattoo. Even if they are tattooed, every Tattoo Artist works a little different and is best suited to tell you how their work heals based on past experience.
DO NOT- go swimming in a pool, soak in a hot tub, hang out in a lake or go swimming in the ocean. ALL of these can lead to a nasty infection.
DO NOT- let your tattoo come into contact with any gym equipment. 100% of all gym equipment tested, showed positive for fecal matter and multiple other bacteria. This too will lead to a nasty infection.
DO NOT- pick or scratch your tattoo during the healing process.
DO NOT- touch your tattoo with dirty hands and do not let your friends touch your tattoo during the healing process.
AVOID contact with pets and your new tattoo.
